Default Jaguar Legacy

I come from a long history with Jags in my life. My father (80) started with a XK140 as his first car. He owns every version of the XJS with manual transmissions, XKE, XJ6 Majestic . He gifted me his ‘84 XJ6 (sold) and I have recently purchased a 2001 XJR from the original owner. 110K with problems of course. The car is in great shape but not running at full power. I will be searching for answers and seeking help but will do the work myself. This has been a bucket list car for awhile and now that box is checked. Looking forward to the next steps. Thank you.

Welcome to the Forums.

I strongly suggest adding your general location, as these cars do vary market to market.

Good history and good luck with the Beast.

Default AUJag Located Auburn, Alabama US

I am in the Southern State of Alabama and sorry I missed that aspect of my introduction. Almost 50 years old and have gravitated towards German and Italian cars. My project cars of the past have been Alfa Romero Spiders, Porsche 968 and my longest unfinished 1969 Mercedes 280SL. I feel like I rescued most of these cars. Between family, life and work the energy and resources aren’t always overflowing. Hoping the XJR brings a connection back with my father. He lives within 2 hours drive but rarely see each other. Thanks

Welcome to the forum and quite a list of project cars you've had. A 280SL is a car I would like to have, but not as a project.
