Default JAGUAR X-TYPE 3.0 V6 Petrol AIR BOX RESONATOR VACUUM BOX??

Afternoon, just after some brief help with two things if anyone has the knowledge. Not had my 2001 X-type for to long but noticed I was missing The V6 PETROL AIR BOX RESONATOR VACUUM BOX. Do I need this and what’s its purpose??

Also what size is the Mass air flow sensor that is built into the main air box?? Been thinking about changing the air intake.
Pictures attached
Thanks for your help

Hi there,
pictures are not attached, try again. Also

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=maf+sensor+x+type+part+number&safe=strict &client=ms-android-huawei&prmd=sivn&source=lnms&tbm=shop&sa=X&ved=0ah UKEwj115yKgobeAhVNSsAKHVisC9kQ_AUIESgB&biw=360&bih =518

here is a few options depending on your model. The branded ones are usually better.
For the air box is hard to buy outside of dealerships used ones are not too hard to find though ..

Sorry I also meant the size of the MAF housing so I could look at an after market induction kit so would have to take the factory housing out and put an aluminium one in but just need to get the size right.

cheers
