just another new guy
Hello
I just traded a bunch of old pickup parts for an 87 Jag XJ6 that doesn't run. It looks pretty decent though, so I think I got the better part of the bargain! I will, no doubt, be coming here to ask for advice!

Hi JameyXJ6 welcome to the forum, sounds pretty good to me. You will find some great help over in the XJ6 forum, but don't forget to have a look around the rest of the site.
All sorts of useful info, and some fun banter in the Off Topic section.

Welcome Jamey. Hope you give it a go with the XJ6 and don't end up trading a bunch of jaguar parts for something else.

I'm hoping to make this into a weekend driver, we'll see. Right now I'm chasing electrical problems (see my post in XJ6 forum) and trying to find interchangeable parts.
I'll post some pics once it stops raining, but for now I put up a pic of myself and one of the car in Mug Shots.

Welcome! My very first Jag was an SIII (86). I loved that car. The dual fuel caps are the bomb!
Along with "firsts" mine brought to me my very first head gasket job on a Jaguar 6. Nothing like finding a "milkshake" in the radiator....notorious on these MYs.
