Long Beach CA checks in....
'96 x300 white over tan, 137,000 miles, 2nd Jag ever. First was a light blue over navy '71 XJ6. I never forgot that car, here I am again.
I wonder if it's just me, the 40 years since, or if that '71 wasn't just a wee bit sweeter of a car.
NO pics as I don't see how to upload them.

Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.
Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.

40 years with the x300 won't happen as I'm 65. I may have to find a '71 that is in top shape and take it for a drive just to compare. No mistake, the '96 is a great car and I looked for specifically an x300 because of the inline 6.
I'm sure I won't miss the Lucas electrics.

Hey, ladies and gents, I'm back. Why in the New Member forum? Well, another car. The'96 has served me well. Best car I have ever owned. It now has 190,000 on it and it's got lots of LITTLE problems. If I can find a way to keep it (storage is always a problem and if you just let them sit, well, that's just worse). So, looking at a low mileage 2004 x350. I guess I'll move over to the x350 forum.
I'm off to read the sticky about what to expect. Already I know there are some issues with the air suspension. Hoping that this isn't some voodoo stuff. The car as a whole is splendid. Red over the typical off white.

No deal at $5500 cash on the table. The 2nd inspection showed RF suspension repairs including only one RF air shock that did not appear on the Carfax. So that tells me it was partially fixed even though there was a receipt for the shock ($1400) and $400 labor. The RF front valance was very obviously involved with a low stationary object. I missed that first time around. Seller says he has a buyer at just under 6K that intends to change out the 4 shocks for the standard $2500 kit plus labor. He must know more than I.
Yeah. the X300 with the same money put in it would be a show car.
