Default looking to buy my 1st jag

Hi everyone, i'm looking to get my first jag! I've always loved the classy xj look, I'm looking @ a couple 95-97 x300's. I've been doing some research for the last week and I've decided to stay away from the later v8's. It won't be a daily driver, but for some commuting so I don't have to put diesel in my f350 every 4 days !

Welcome to the group.

If yu go to the "X300" forum there's a buyers guide you might be interested in. It's in the "FAQ" section.

Cheers
DD

Welcome aboard! If you're looking for reliability (and obvious better mileage than that ford diesel) try the 6-cyl engine, their reputably one of the best for longevity before the 4.2 v-8 came out in 2003. The 4.0 isn't necessarily bad, it just needs some more 'help' to reach high mileage numbers, mechanically speaking. lol

enjoy your stay here! Join in when you can.

Welcome Samuel. Take your time finding your purrfect Jaguar, I know most guys take about 3 months to do so.

Welcome Sam! Excellent choice of target. Good luck in your search. Lots of info on what to check and common problems/quirks over in the X300 section. I feel your pain on the diesel....been in the Excursion the last three weeks while I searched for/await delivery of some parts for the X300. Frustrating to have the "swipe-here" pumps cut you off at $100 and nowhere near full....

ahol () word ^ on having to use 2 credit cards here as well. Our pumps shut off at the 75.00 mark, and thats to guard against credit card theft?

Good news is that our prices have dropped to less than $3.10 for a gallon of regular, too bad the mower and the four wheeler are the only thingies that gets the low grade.
