In 2014 I inherited a 1997 XJ6 L, and this forum has provided more help than I ever could have hoped for as I've lurked here over the past four years. I have definitely come to love my XJ, the AJ16 4.0 I6 is a unique engine and very fun to drive, and the car has earned its spot as a "forever" car for me. The car has hair under 85,000 miles and going strong! Lately it has been my daily, but soon I'm hoping to pick up something else for daily driving, so I can keep the XJ in the garage and spare it my commute. And also get it into a body shop to get it the new paint job that it so desperately needs.
Finally decided it was time to join and contribute here after finding the forum so helpful over the last few years. [img][/img]
You have clearly already found your way to the X300 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Your Jaguar is just now well broken in and loosened up at 85,000 miles! With care and feeding that engine should take you another 100,000 miles easily!
Always glad to see a long-time lurker take that big step! I did the same thing. Good to have you as a participant now. See you in the X300 neighborhood. Love the Sapphire blue!
