I am a very proud owner of a 1999 convertible XK8 with 76K on the odometer. I am the third owner, the previous two owners kept it in pretty good shape considering it's a 23-year-old beauty.
I am extremely happy I found this forum and I have been reading and educating myself with tons of valuable info.
I am not an expert mechanic but I am slowly getting there and with this investment, I am sure I will be adding a lot of hours to my arsenal.

I put a list of items I need to address in order of importance before I can drive it full-time. It did pass the smog test and it's fully registered and insured as of today!

1. Fix oil leak (not sure where it's originating from yet)
2. New spark plugs and air filter if needed.
3. Oil Change
4. ABS error light
5. Remove seats, shampoo carpet, and driver seat leather tuck.

Photos will be posted this weekend.

Cheers everyone.

Welcome to the Forums.

Good list, BUT, dont forget the trans, steer, brake fluids.
Often forgotten, and that can cause a huge drain on the wallet down the track.

The XK8 (X100) Teach section will have many more suggestions.

Good luck.
