Default My 2000 XKR from US to Norway

I bought my first Jaguar in July, an 2000 XKR convertible with 93000 miles on it. It was imported from US earlier this year. I have the carfax report that followed the car, but know very little about the car. 3 owners in 20 years. Started its life in Florida, sold to Ohio in 2003, new owner in 2005 who took the car with him to California in 2014.
I knew about the timing chain and tensioner problem, but dont know if it has been changed.
I found out about the convertible top hydraulic lines problem, and new ones has been purchased from tophydraulics
New front springs and upper mountings has already arrived.

It is not a daily driver, but my "summer car". A little different from my before this Jeep Wrangler :-)

If someone should recognize it from the attached photo it would be fun!

Hello,
Congratulations on your new Jaguar XKR Convertible!
I dare say there aren't very many Norsk cats like yours. You will certainly know which is your car in the parking lot.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forums NorXKR,

Was it difficult to import? Members in France and Spain have reported problems obtaining European Type Approval for their imported USA vehicles.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk8-xkr-x100-17/ to the XK8/XKR forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the Europe Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/europe-42/ to find other members in your region.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
