Default My a/c leaks water into footwell of my XKR4.2. Garage want £1400 to fix £20 part. Cae

2007 XKR4.2 Supercharged. Water pours into passenger footwell. I have bought a new duckbill. Does anyone know how to fit it without removing dashboard? Garage wants £1400 to fix, but this is nearly 2 months of my pension.
Help wanted!
