Very cute video!
Some people, even those who own a Jaguar built during Ford's ownership, refer to their cars as Forduars. However, Some other people who own Jaguars built during Ford's ownership, are *Very* sensitive about their cars being called Forduars and are Quick to tell you about it. I could name names.
Some Jaguar clubs have discouraged new members who own Jaguars built during Ford's ownership, feeling that the only *Real* Jaguars were built by British Leyland, with all their poor quality workmanship, lack of reliability and the pragmatic requirement of owners to subscribe to a towing plan (I have a 200 mile towing plan myself).
If you Like your car, take comfort in the fact that Ford poured Millions into the company to modernize it, with a corresponding increase in reliability. In fact, the Vast Majority of Jaguars on the road today world wide were built when Ford owned the company.
One thing for sure, you'll know which car in the line is yours without having to look at the plate or memorize the number.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
