Greetings fellow Jag enthusiasts.
My affliction with Jaguars started by accident as my initial thoughts were they were a maintenance nightmare. I was looking at getting an audi W8 when I came across my 2005 XJR in pacific blue and fell in love with it . As per my research on the car it has held up quite well. I really like the blown 4.2 engine and 6 speed combo , works very well. So well in fact that I just picked up a nice 2004 XKR for the wife ( blue of course), such beautiful lines on the older XK's. I am really disappointed with the new styling, the new XJ ,XK,XF hardly stand out in traffic .
All for now

cheers, Andrew

Whoops, just read my post and hope no one is offended by my new styling comment - I was just merrily typing while doing other things and had my etiquette turned off. On the flipside - I'm sure there are people that don't like blue cars - no worries I'm not offended.

Welcome! You are not alone with the opinion that the new(er) styling lacks the "Jag" look.

Welcome, Andrew! With His and Hers "Rs," you're ready to form your own racing team!

We love our '04 XJR. A very special motorcar.

Cheers,

Don

Welcome, Andres, I completely agree!

I recently acquired a 1976 Xj6 Series II. Nearly 40 years old the car is, and yet anyone who sees it *Instantly* knows it's a Jaguar. That can't be said for newer models, wherein one must see a label to know what it is.
