Default New Guy

Just got me a 2002 X-type to impresse the ladies (more to impresse myself than my girlfriend)

61,000 miles

runs like a dream (for the most part)

needs a new caliper on the front left side
figure i should just replace them all

My girl calls the car my "side chick" because i spend so much time pampering it with useless merchandise and mods

its my first sports car and all i want to do is make it as fast and as badAss as humanly possible but i want to do it right. I dont want to end up with a ricer. Figure why not talk to a group of people who are as enthusiastic about thier jags as i am with mine

Welcome to the forum JackMFPanther,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Four replacement calipers! You can get rebuild kits.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x-type-x400-14/ to the X-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-western-38/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Welcome.

Yep, a FULL, major, major service, ALL fluids etc, is the best start for any "new" to you car, especially a Jag.

Good luck.

Hello,
Congratulations on your new Jaguar!
Your GF might as well learn now, if you're spending money and time on your car, you're not spending it on another woman. She needs to see that as a PLUS!

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
