Hi Chris, welcome to the forum. Nice first Jag. Check out the S-type section for pertinent information. What color is your S-type? When you can post a pic or two of it. Have a great time on this site as there's a lot to explore. Cheers.

Hello Chris and welcome to jaguarforums.com. I know that you are anxious to get started and we are anxious to meet you and talk about your car. We have a baseline / criteria that must be met before full access can be granted. Please enjoy the forum and be patient once the baseline has been satisfied full access will be granted. Please continue to post and accept my welcome to the forum.

Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.

Hey Chris.
Welcome to the forum. I was stationed in Groton many years ago. I enjoyed everything except the winters. I didn't have my jag then, but I was into motorcycles then and there is some good bike riding on the country roads. It should be fun in your Jag. Good Luck.

Chris:

I bet that you were never aware that a Jaguar S model is bordering as a supercar with the 4.2 engine. You ought to see what it is like in the R version supercharged.

Until I got interested in the XK's, I thought Jag's were straight 6 engined cars driving by little old rich ladies. Boy was I wrong.

Welcome Chris. Sounds like a nice vehicle you have taken ownership of, can't wait to see some pics! As mentioned loads of info in the S Type Section and the guys there are quite friendly. Beaware though we do become addictive!

Enjoy your new ride!

You should drive the XF Supercharged. Makes my S feel slow. I never really cared for the STR, just not worth all the extra headaches here in CT with our crappy roads.
