Default New Jag owner...

Iv been building classic Japanese cars for years but Iv gone and picked up a 1974 Jaguar XJ6 that has been swapped with a small block chev.

Not in bad shape, very mechanically sound and drives great...
... but still need to sort some rubbish previous owners wiring, figure out some non working lights like the dash and license plate and some interior bits.

Having a lot of fun with it already and looking forward to improving it

And heres a few previous personal builds ....

Oohh, you got me with that Datsun Roadster. I had one which I sold when I moved out here in the Stix and no longer had a place to drive it. Link below:

Nice Series II. You'll like your converted Jag. You will be driving it more than working on it. At least that's my experience. And when you consider your car is 40 years old, the fact it still drives at all is something positive to consider.

Welcome from ElinorB.

Thanks for the warm welcome and for the links Norri.

Nice to see international members as well, Im an Admin for one of the larger Datsun forums (Im that guy with 20+k posts) and we have a nice international community.
lol needless to say its been a while since I joined a new non-Datsun forum.

This is the first time with a Jag and with an American V8
Definitely going to need a good wiring diagram for this thing haha.

I loved my 311 Elinor, it was a 1970 1600 with R16/5 speed, electronic ignition, tube header, Z Therapy SUs and some other goodies.

Welcome to the forum Skib,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Follow Norri's link in post #2 to the XJ6 Series I, II & III forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.
