Hello Everyone,

I just arrived back at the house with my latest project. A 1988 XJS. I bought the car sight unseen. I'll wait for a few minutes so you can laugh and shake your head...............

Ok, all that being said, it is a MAJOR project. It was cheap though.
It was stored in a barn, and mice got into the engine and ate through all the wires and hoses.

The first things I need to fix are the fuel and hydraulic leaks. I'm going to head over to the XJS section and see who will stop laughing long enough to help me.

LOL.

Edit: wrong year. Changed the year form 1998 to 1988

Welcome to the Forums.

You sure its an XJS, they ceased in late 1996, replaced by the XK8.

Good luck anyway.

Welcome to the forums Keyser_Soze,

Last time I saw you was climbing into an XJ40.

I can see you've already found your way to the XJS forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also use the US Lower Atlantic Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/u...r-atlantic-66/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
