Welcome to the forum Cory,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
You don't have to fit a battery from Jaguar but you do need a compatible equivalent battery:
1. same 80 Ah or higher capacity
2. same physical dimensions
3. vented
Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x-type-x400-14/ to the X-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the US Southwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-southwest-37/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.

Hey @ Cory Brooks,
Actually, we can help you with your new battery purchase. Hypothetically, you can put any battery of your choice in your Jag, yet I would recommend you the following high-quality options by Braille Battery, so you won't have to change your battery in the 6 months again. Follow the link to check them out:
