New Jaguar Owner
Hello,
My name is Joe M. I am new to the Jaguar cult. I actually bought one X-type with issues and was offered a second X-type with an offer I couldn't refuse. The guy I purchased it from was right, I couldn't refuse.
My first X-type is a 02, 3.0L, auto. My good friend owns the local salvage yard and this came in with "issues." It is a good looking car with an electrical issue, I'm lucky in that he allows me to keep my project junk at the yard. My second X-type is an 03, 2.5L, auto that I purchased for a song. It has a lot of new parts that have been added in the past 2 years of ownership. I personally know the previous owner.
The second was purchased for my eldest son, who told his mother and I at an early age he's going to own a Jaguar.
I work in the manufacturing industry as a Maintenance Engineer. I live in South Central Pennsylvania. I am mid 50s and have loved automobiles since an early age, I remember holding the flashlight for my dad when I was 7 years old. I do most of my own car work, I normally leave the body work to the professionals. I'm excited to start this new chapter in my automotive experience.

Good Job, Joe, not one Jag but TWO!!
What a good friend to let you keep your project car at his yard!
Our X-type section will doubtless be able to help with those electrical "issues." Someone will be along soon to direct you there.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forum Joe,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I can see you've already found your way to the X-Type forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the US Northeast Region forum by following this link US Northeast - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
