Default New Mbr 361gayle 05 STypeR

05 STypeR-My name is Gayle. Very senior senior citizen who has not owned a Jag since 1964 when we had an XKE coupe, until last April we found a lovely '05 STypeR kitty and brought it to South Texas to live on the Bay. Loving this Forum already. Thanks in advance for helping me solve some issues.

Smile 05 STR in So TX

Near Corpus Christi, 200 miles from the nearest Jag service experts and had her since Apr '09 trouble free. I'm counting on this forum of massive experience to help us through some park brake fault issues. Thanks.

Well I too have an 05 STR and happened to notice the park brake fault issue. When I took it out for a test, it kept doing it to the salesman but when I drove, no issues. From what I found out, if you have a weak or bad battery, it causes the fault. Do you drive it much? It hasn't come back on since I bought the car.

Default STR 05 Park Brake Fault

Unfortunately we've already been the weak or low battery route, 1 yr old & tests strong. I don't drive it daily but several times a wk & always on trips to Lake Chas. & the "Isle" monthly. We've tested fuses etc, manually disengaged park brake so wheels turn, installed new park brake pads & next wk. going to svc. dept. in Houston.

Going to try Momentum Jag svc. on 59 SW closest to us. Any words of wisdom?
