Default New to me 06 Jaguar Stype R

Hello, Names Ramon. Have been lurking in the site for about 2 weeks now. Picked up an 06 Jaguar Stype R from a buddy of mine. 186k on the odometer. Love the cars rides awesome. Love the whine from the supercharger. I just sold an 06 mini Cooper s John Cooper works edition that I loved as a daily to a family member and got the Jag to replace it! No regrets, other then that I miss the go cart feeling. Looking to catch up on maintenance and look for a new intake. Been reading that a member caldoofy makes one. Going to try that route if anyone could point me in the direction thanks I'm advance!

Welcome to the forums Ramon,

Good to have you with us.

It sounds like you've already found your way to the S-Type forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. Post in Caldoofy's thread if you want to contact him:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ailable-83959/

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also use the US Southwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-southwest-37/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Default So bad news on the new to me Jag...

So I drove the car for 2 days, car drove fine never got hot temp stayed at 195 on the scan gauge didn't leave it idling or anything. I took it to friends house who was going to replace a window regulator for me and he said that the exhaust smelled funny asked if I had checked the oil. I told him I haven't cuz the person I bought from barely drove it and always checked the oil before every drive another good friend of mine and come to find out there was some coolant in the oil. Don't know how it happen since the friend I got it from checked it religiously before every drive and I just babied it for 2 days before checking the oil.. so I wonder is there any other ways that coolant would mix with the oil besides the head gasket? Thanks for the warm welcome!!
