Default New (to me) XJR in the Desert

Hello all,
Having won my 2001 XJR on Bringatrailer (surprise!) on Bringatrailer in August I've put ~3k miles worth of road trips on her- including the drive home to New Mexico and a work trip from NM through Flagstaff to Las Vegas, Moab, and home. It's been a great way to cover a lot of ground quickly and comfortably and I've been using the forums to address minor (mostly door handle) issues.

I work from home, so the car doesn't see a ton of use- but it's a whole lot more manageable around town than our converted 23' Sprinter so gets pulled out for errands as needed.

Congratulations on your successful acquisition of a Jaguar!
Nice Car! It sounds like a fun shake-down trip too.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forum chevre,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

From the Bringatrailer description, the PO knew their Jaguar. All the right things mentioned.

I know you've already found your way to the X308 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Welcome.

Drive the beast, it is what they are built for.

Well done.

Thanks all. Nothing I've owned has as much presence as the Jag. It may often be the most powerful car in sight but is confident enough not to feel the need to demonstrate that fact.
