Hello all:

I am a new owner of an old Jag - a 1970 E Type OTS. I bought it last week. I own two other British cars - a 1935 Morgan Super Sport and a 2005 Lotus Elise. I also have a 1950 Vincent Black Shadow and a 1954 Vincent Rapide with a sidecar. I wanted a 1960s car and I've always thought XKEs were beautiful, so when a particularly nice one came up for local sale I bought it. Now I'm busily trying to learn all about it. Fortunately, there is a very good shop about 40 miles from me that specializes in classic British and european cars.

I've already posted a question on the driver's side door switch that controls the interior dash light - I noticed that it is very different from the one other right side, apparently only in 1970 cars. Why? Very odd.

I look forward to learning from everyone else on this forum.

Welcome to the forum Vincent998,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the E-Type forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Northwest Region forum by following this link US Northwest - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
