Hello everybody

My name's Arnaud 54 yo , I live in Paris
Been in the Jag theme since birth date , thanks my dad
A black MK2 3.4 red leather carried my diapers & an E type 63 saved my life at 4 yo against a drunk's 404 peugeot on the way to hollydays , happy I am with the early ability of distorsion & absorbtion of its big nose , car is still in familly
Then a 420 went to improve comfort ... still in garage
Got myself an US 69 XKE roadster that I could afford , so pretty damaged & went to more excited cars after . but no more Jag unfortnatly.
thinking about an STR since they are very cheap but budget is low lately.
beside other stuff I'm into boat pleasure here on the Seine river , giving some freedom & entertainment in the city.
Then all come together I would be very satisfied with a nice speed boat Jag powered , a shiny brg paint & a big roaring cat on the front hull .
Well I'm on my way !
I've brought back from Canada an old Glastron Carlson CVX with a big 460 Ford & a turbine , during the rebuilt I realise the weight of the powerplant & decided to swap for a more modern engine, more HP & less gas.
Ford huge V8 is 350 HP with heavy low rpm torque , I looked for a match & well there is not much on the scene beside an US V8...again..
Then the Jag XKR went to my thought pretty quickly , simple tech , light , modern low torque , good power , reliable & able to be upgraded & niiiice
Now the project is going on , I've made choices & done some work
i don't see infaisable things yet so I go ahead
Reason to come here is I need advices on the engine & its management
I've started a thread "Jag boat " to collect the infos
I've seen huge knowledges over here , It is surely the place to ask
But is it an interesting project ??
Let me know !
Thanks a lot for anyhelp & let's all express the roaring cat we all have inside !!

Welcome to the forum Arnaud,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

The finished boat should be the fastest way from Paris to Rouen!

You will find many members with knowledge of the AJ27 engine in XK8/XKR forum. Follow this link XK8 / XKR ( X100 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XK8/XKR forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. There is lots of information there on the engine.

You can also visit the Europe Region forum by following this link Europe - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
