Hi just signed up to the forum as a new member, i'm currently driving a 2004 x-type saloon (sedan) 2.0 diesel and hope that by joining the community I can gain a wealth of knowledge about the marque but also in return share any of my own troubles and fixes during ownership.

Welcome. You probably don't see them in the UK, but we get these television commercials here in the U.S. about "Crazy88" used car loans, $88 down and $88 a month, bad credit, no credit, etc. I clicked your post half expecting to find we'd been spammed by a used car dealer.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
