New member 69k 4.0L conv. as...gasp... DD
Been on this great forum a month mining members insights and, what I might expect from a X100 even gently used garage-queen. A Cali gem found me in the perpetually drizzly northwest. A brand x sports coupe earned reprieve for excellent behavior-expensive-but excellent; accordingly I had an informal list of DD prospects: whatever would be kinda' cool, depreciated, distinctive, somewhat stealthy preferred, common or uncommon. Quite open to specs, genre or configuration while total mileage, ownership, and records being main considerations.
Not on the radar, a Lawson XK... any red not a prospect, convert. not envisioned either. So here I am my DD the most unlikely possible....but it's delightful, fast, comfortable, reliable, and needs nothing. It being among several well-tended in a gentleman's stable-prior owner had two XK8 'vert, a S-III VDP, and several 30's-era Lincoln CCCA senior classics.
Looking forward to sharing the long-term journey with the forum as I've already compiled a giant list. Pix when/if it stops raining...

Welcome to the forums GT'thusiast,
Good to have you with us.
I can see you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Northwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-northwest-64/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.

welcome to the forum - you'll have no problem making her your daily driver. mine had 91K on her when I made her my dd 8 years ago. Now nearing 187k and still loving the drive, especially with the forum being the best tool in your tool box - so keep up with maintenance and just enjoy!!!!

Amazing coincidence indeed, my second car was...drumroll here..1969 red SPL 311, 1600 black interior, 8 trk and a ski rack. Used it for everything, bird chasin', skiing, learning the basics about post-war 'european' sports cars (basically an MGB that wouldn't drop parts enroute). Sporting enough, and Humble beginnings for a teenager in hs.
