New member from Arizona!
Greeting to you all! Have been learning a ton from all of you and figured I would join officially. I had an E-Type 20 years ago....1971 V-12 2+2, ugliest brown with camel interior. Loved that car but traded it in for wife and kids. Well, now 20 years later, I still have the wife and the kids are grown so it is time to get back into the happy place of the Jag. My E-Type was purchased for 9 grand with 47k miles out of a barn, I cleaned it up and discovered it was perfect underneath the dust, commuted 100 miles each way in it and was the happiest person at work every day. Needless to say, they have appreciated faster than my income so I have finally admitted getting it or another E-Type wont be feasible in the near future. Looking now for either an XJS (always loved them, even though the general populous didnt seem to) or an XK (kinda dig them, but not sure, a bit to modern and "Fordy". Any how, I have learned so much from all you folks and hope to learn more I I dive again into the happiness that is Jaguar. Thanks for all I have learned, and thanks in advance for all I will!
Tony.

Hello, Tony,
I never liked the E-type either. (Can't say in Polite Company what they look like to me.) Nor most models of XJS for that matter, except for the later ones with the looong tail lights (do Not like quarter-round tail lights or "flying buttresses") and Rag Top of course.
Probably I would take one of those, in BLACK.

Welcome to the forums Tony,
You should have put the E-Type back in a barn to gather dust again while the kids grew up. Mine went for the same reason and I've often regretted the sale. Now is the time to buy an XJS because values are finally beginning to rise. It's one of the few Jaguar models I've never owned but my son had one in the same shade of Jaguar Sable that you loved on your E-Type! XK8's have probably reached bottom values and XK's are still falling.
Check the 'HOW TO' threads at the top each model forum for information on regular issues.
