Default New Member But NOT "New" to Jag

Thanks for admitting me to the forum!
This place looks like a great community of like-minded Jaguar owners with a wealth of information and experience to share!

As mentioned in my thread title, I'm new here, but I have owned Jaguar automobiles before. (Not more than a couple, but my latest acquisition is, so far, the most exciting yet!)

So....my past ownership.....
Around 1995, we bought a 1993 XJ6 that was a gorgeous motorcar. Not sure what the color would be called but quite similar to a recent purchase of our latest Jag! Loved the car and it was my everyday driver for years!
Around that same time, my wife drove, in relatively short succession, first a Champagne colored 1988 XJS-12 convertible that we found at a great price we bought even though she wasn't crazy about the color. That one was a Hess & Eisenhardt conversion and a classy looking car, but after sending the fan through the radiator one night, she wanted "out" so we fixed it, then sold it, (at a loss of course.). Soon after we replaced it with a 1991 XJS-12 factory-built convertible. That one was the British Racing Green with saddle leather color combo that had always been her "dream car". She LOVED that car, and drove it daily for years until she could no longer fit behind the wheel at 8 months pregnant. We sold it with regret but just didn't see it getting much use for a while.

That "while" we anticipated my wife not driving a two-seat Jaguar turned into 27 years!! (Just a bit longer than we thought it would be! That pregnancy that took her out of that XJS is now our very grown 6'7", 325 pound son!)

Anyway, long story short, my wife is now back in a Jaguar convertible after all these years!

We have acquired a 2010 Jaguar XKR convertible is a very pretty color I believe is "Frost Blue" with an ivory interior. "Fast as bloody hell", as one reviewer said, is a VERY accurate description! It's got new tires, something I always appreciate when buying a new-to-me car, and everything works as it should, another thing I am grateful for considering I remember all too well the cost of our local Jaguar dealer's service department.

Anyway, this has been my long-winded introduction!

I hope some of you can share some thoughts and opinions on this car with advice on what to expect, what to look for, what to watch out for, etc, etc. ALL advice greatly appreciated!!

PS: Just realized I am not quite "new" here! I had completely forgotten about my short-lived ownership of a 2015 XJL 3.0 a few years ago! We didn't keep it long......it had a reconstructed title and my wife was not comfortable that the dealer wasn't thrilled about working on it, so we sold it to buy our Genesis G90, which I have to say is a simply fantastic sedan and superior in every way to the "higher-end" type cars we have owned in the past, like the 7-series, S-class, and yes, the XJL as well. Anyway, just wanted to clarify I have indeed enjoyed your company before!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! Since this Jag is so different from previous models we've owned, what special things should I be aware of? Anything in particular I need to worry about or things to look for specific to the XKR?

Yes, my wife has always loved fast cars! But they had to exude some class too.....tried as I might, I could never turn her on to the 60's muscle cars that I love!
She also still has her near-mint Lexus SC430, but it's promised to my son who loves it, so we can't sell it off to help "feed" the Jag! We'll keep the Jag as long as she enjoys it, but she can be quite fickle about her cars!
