Hi All,
I am new to the forum and own a 2003 X type 3.0 with sport package.
I have owned it since it was a brand new kitten and since I work from home it only has 36K miles on it and plan to own it for a while longer.
I am located in Southern CA near the beach and there are lots (and I mean lots of luxury cars around here). I owned a 1984 Vanden Plas prior to this one and I purchased it from Malachi Throne (now deceased but you may know of him as Robert Wagner's boss in "It takes a Thief" and some Star Trek episodes). Always wanted a Jag and am very proud of saving to own this one from new.

I have been viewing posts at the forum for a few months now and you guys have taught me a lot. Currently have an issue with my baby that the dealer can't seem to help me with so I joined to post my issue directly. Hope we can resolve it together and that I can possibly "pay it forward" to someone else in the future with all that I am learning.

Welcome to the forum luvmyjagx,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the X-Type tech section so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Western Region forum by following this link Western US - AK CA NV OR UT HI WA ID - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Welcome, there are quite of few of us Jag owners in So Cal, and each of us has our preferred mechanics to solve all sorts of problems on all sorts of models. If you need a recommendation, just reach out, and I'm sure you'll get plenty of help.

Thank you tberg.
Any comments about Star Motors in San Juan Capistrano? They seem like a good shop but only had my oil changed there once.
Or any recommendations in the Dana Point / San Juan area? If the cat dies on the highway again with no error codes, I'll need someone good with what looks like electrical issues.
