New Member - CPO 2016 XJ Portfolio
Hi,
I’m a new member and 1st time jag owner in Tampa, Florida, U.S.A.
Love the look of my black XJ Portfolio with London tan interior. 26k miles.
My car’s in service date was August 22 2016, so I still have some new car warranty and included maintenance left, and extended the CPO to 7 years 100k miles from original in service date. A blessing it seems given some of the horror stories I am reading on these forums.

A few tech questions off the bat (not confident in the answers from my dealer, although I fear he may be correct):
1. Is there really no way to control the navigation via voice commands? Big disappointment if so.
2. Can I or can I not get a software update on this model to enable apple CarPlay and android auto? Conflicting info.
3. Can I use any US carrier’s SIM card to enable data connectivity, or must I use sprint as the dealer suggested? Do I just insert the SIM card or do I need a separate device as the seemingly confused sprint rep suggested?
a. Would the data speed so obtained be 4G and eventually 5G (i.e. the carrier’s speed) or is there some sort of in-car limitation that restricts speeds to 3G as the manual suggests?
