Hello all. I am Paul and live in Niagara Falls Canada.l. I recently purchased a 2004. S Type. V6. It has 215000 km on it. Grey exterior with black interior. It is in beautiful shape. I am the 3rd owner. I have read alot on this forum and it has helped me with the repairs I have had to do to get it running well. After installing a new radiator new plugs and coils ( and epoxy in one of the plenum bolts) she purrs again. I do all the work on my vehicles not a pro I just know, enough to be damgerous. I have never had an interest in Jags. This one caught my eye as the asking price was low, the outstanding condition and the retro look of the style. Since driving it WOW it is now my go to car. I have an eclectic bunch of vehicles 2008 Escape, 1986 Fiero, 1990 Corvette convertable, 2002 VW Beetle, 2008 Yaris and now the Jag. I just wanted to introduce myself and say a big thank you for all the useful information I have learned from the many knowledgeable forum members. One question I have is some refer to a base s other refer to the sport s. What is the difference?

Hello, Paul,
Congratulations on your new Jaguar!
And, congratulations on all your successful repairs!
I saw a Very Nice
Fiero once, and I've lusted after one ever since. You can keep all the rest, especially the Yaris.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forums Paul,

Good to have you with us.

It sounds like you've already found the relevant model forum but if not, follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ed-v8-x200-15/ to the S-Type forum for help, advice and information. Members with this model will be able to explain the differences between base and sports. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the Canada Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/canada-73/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
