Hello Jaguar enthusiasts!

My name is Dave and I've been had by three Jag's over the years:

1967 Mark X
1966 XKE

Those first two were short term unaffordable love affairs while in High School and College respectively…

The third was a 2005 X-Type Wagon that I gave to my girlfriend after a short ownership a few years back. To be more specific, I had the girlfriend for 20 years and the car for about a year but she loved driving it - so I gave it to her.

I collect older Porsches and have always tried to drive obscure vehicles because they are simply more fun.

Currently our household's street vehicles are a 2013 BMW 28i xdrive (hers) and a 2006 Saab 92X Aero (re-badging of the Subaru Impreza WRX Wagon) (his). Driver status sports cars are a 1990 928 GT (his) and a 1995 993 Carrera 2 (hers).

I'm retired(ish) and like to tinker with my toys occasionally and maintain them to a high standard, yet I'm not totally obsessive compulsive.

But what I'm here for is information that will lead me to a really mint condition X-Type Wagon!

Since I had mine for a short time and it was nearly new, it only had oil changes, an expansion tank leak, oil pan leak and brake work.

I'll read some more of the excellent posts and then chime in occasionally. Feel free to PM me if you know of a superb condition Estate Wagon in the US.

Regards,

Dave

"Been had by 3 Jags."
Isn't that the way with all of us. Our Jaguars OWN us not the other way around.

Welcome, Dave, to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome.

They say variety is the spice of life, so I reckon I missed that boat, oh well.
