Hi I am new to Jaguar bought my first one this weekend it is a 2005 Jaguar xj8l right after I bought it it died found there to be no spark traced it back to a lot of water in the fresh air intake by cabin filter. Took the computer out and apart and found moisture in there I cleaned it out with contact spray and blow-dry with hair dryer put it all back together the vehicle started right up it has few other problems so I will probably be posting some questions soon this seems like a great forum

You have been very lucky - ECM's often die once moisture gets in.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
