New Member Intro
My Name is Cliff and I am the proud original owner of a 1996 XJ6VDP. I live in Indiana in the town of Peru. I am searching for a reliable and affordable person to work on my vehicle occasionally in my area.
Currently I have a few quirky issues, mostly electronic in nature and one mechanical issue with sunroof. Electric problems concern power tilt and telescoping wheel. Telescopes but wont tilt. Memory works to move it upon exit but not on entry via memory settings. Power door locks unlock and then relock 5 times when I use the key fob on all doors except the drivers door. This happens manually unlocking with the key also. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. The Power sunroof has a broken clip in the slide mechanism on both sides so panel will not retract. I found both side rails online but when I went to replace them I found they were riveted and sealed to the motor mount and I have nobody to assist in installing the new parts correctly. Car is in perfect condition and only 49450 miles so I wish to fix all issues as cheaply as possible.
