New Member Introduction
Hi Everyone,
My name is Jeff (aka jrogue) and although I do not own a Jaguar right now, I have in the past and hope to in the future.
Back in 1991, for five years, I owned a '76 XJ6L and loved it. What a ride, with great XK straight six power and gobs of wood and leather. Cut my teeth with car maintenance and (light) repair work on this car and really enjoyed driving it.
Fast forward to today, I have begun researching the Mark VII, VIIM, VIII, IX series with the hopes of acquiring one some day. Not a lot around, but there is great fun in the hunt.
As a side benefit of my research, I found this forum (you guys are great sources of info) and I discovered that I also really like the X350--specifically the 2006 Super V8 Portfolio. So I am also searching for one of those (perhaps to tide me over until I learn enough to pick the right Mark VII-IX).
Anyway, thanks for establishing and sustaining in this forum everyone. I am active in an Alfa Romeo forum as well and it has been invaluable in helping me acquire, maintain and repair my '74 Alfa Romeo spider. Thanks in advance for your help with my second venture into Jaguar ownership.

Welcome to the forum Jeff,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
The early classic Jaguars are definitely becoming harder to find. Basket cases need a fortune spent on them and good restored ones cost a fortune.
It sounds like you've already found your way to the Mark V - X and X350 forums so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top of each is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
You can also visit the US Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
