Hello!
I am a seasoned BMW diy'er but absolutely new to Jag (I am coming from a series of M3's and M5's) my drive is a 2004 STR 91k miles quartz grey, which I love almost as much as I loved my first E39 M5. If I could only figure out its issues. I already submitted a question on the forum regarding some odd (to me) misfires on all bank 1 cylinders ...

best regards
Bob

Welcome to the forum Bob,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the S-Type tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the USA Southwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/usa-southwest-az-tx-nm-ok-37/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

BTW for those in San Francisco area I found a perfect place to diy is called Pit-Row they have great bay rental rates and all the tools you can think of. Moderators', I know this info doesn't belong here, but I didn't see another place to put it so please feel free to move it wherever or just add a category for it that might help the others to work on their cars and avoid ridiculous ownership costs.

Bob,

That's good advice for SF based members.

When posting tech questions about your model, the S-Type tech forum is the place. For location specific advice like this, the Region forum ( USA Western - AK CA NV OR UT HI WA ID - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum ) is the place to post.

I've copied it to the USA Western Region forum. Here's the direct link:
