Hi, I joined this list a day or so ago after finding that most of the searches for information I wanted kept leading me here to the Jaguar Forum. The reason for this sudden burst of curiosity on my part is driven by my recent acquisition of a 2006 XKR Victory Edition coupe shown here:

While it is in very nice condition it needed a few details like fresher wheel center caps, a side "R" emblem one of which was peeling and there is that transmission "bark" or "chirp" everyone seems to have solved with the transmission fluid change or additive. Oh, and the programming for a second keyless remote device, too. Anyway, I needed the information and the Jaguar Forums.com had so much information that it just made sense to join in.

I also have a 2000 XJR and I've been doing vintage british for about 30 years. MG's (TC, TF'S,MGB,MGBGT) and a LOTUS SUPER SEVEN, and XK120 Fixed Head Coupe, E type 2+2 are also in the family. Heres one in the "stable" at present

Have done most of my own work and the garage at home is pretty well equipped for the mechanically simple square riggers, but not so for these computer driven machines.

Most of the vintage MG's are/were driven all over...the TC was driven from San Francisco to Whistler BC and back for a GOF West in 04. But in recent hers long range trips were done in enclosed trailer. Now it seems I don't have the desire to go long distance in trailer so I sold the tricked out air conditioned trailer to some guys in the local MG club (Sorry Safari Touring Society) and then sold the Lincoln Aviator tow vehicle. What to do? Well, my wife knowing I am hitting a milestone b'day in September was extremely cooperative with her "acquiescence" to my wanting to get the last of the 1st generation XKR's and when the 2006 Victory Edition XKR came into range...Pow!

I just think the lines of the coupe are dynamite and if the looks are still as alluring as they have stayed it is going to be beautiful in my eye for many years to come.

Okay, this little introduction is getting out of control, so I'll stop here, but I am pleased to be here and to be able to participate and learn.

Default Race STreet?

Twasn't me. I've been in North Carolina since the 1st. Killing me that I had to leave after only being able to drive it for about a week before leaving. Daydreaming about it and the things it needs is what caused me to hang out on the Forum! Doing so made it possible for me to be able to source the proper Victory Bonnet badge which was lost in a minor bumper bender years ago. Keep your eyes open though and you'll see me over in San Carlos in September!

Hello and welcome to jaguarforums.com. I know that you are anxious to get started and we are anxious to meet you and talk about your car. We have a baseline / criteria that must be met before full access can be granted. Please enjoy the forum and be patient once the baseline has been satisfied full access will be granted. Please continue to post and accept my welcome to the forum.

If you haven’t already you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for. To do this go to, User CP, Edit Signature, Add Vehicle Details and such and Save Your Signature.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.

Also, should you have questions related to your vehicle please post it in the section for your model year (MY) car. This way you will reach all the members that are familiar with your MY car.
