Hello everyone my name is Ismael, I have a 1974 Jaguar XJ6L that I purchased about 2-3 weeks ago, currently is not running and I know nothing about Jaguars
I usually work in my cars, I have some MGB's and 1986 corvette.
Some one refer me to this forum, so I'll be around doing a lot of reading and some asking.

Hello, Ismael,
Congratulations on your 'new' Elderly Jaguar.

They aren't as frightening as some people make them out to be, They work on the same mechanical principles as all other cars, with a few illogical surprises here and there. Not running is a bit of a problem for you, but over in our Xj6 Series section XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
are some very knowledgeable and helpful Jaguar Engine gurus who will be glad to help you out. I'll look for you there.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

I'm sure if you can keep an MG running, the Jaguar won't tax you too much.

Welcome.

If you have waved your magic wand over an MG and a Vette, the Jag will be a breeze.

The only hiccups will come from "alterations" others have made, and they will test your sense of humour seriously.

Welcome to the forum Ismael,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
