New owner - 11 xf
Hello denizens of the interwebs!
Name's dan. bought a 2011 jaguar xf this week. let me start by saying holy ****... fun car. lol.
long story short i've been driving crap cars all my life, saving slowly, and finally was able to pull the trigger on something proper.
https://scontent-ord1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...6f&oe=573E2D37
And so this happened.
54k miles, just a few very minor paint scratches, and over all super clean. frankly, i'm on cloud 9.
I got a few questions about it, as is to be expected i suppose. It didn't come with the book so thats frustrating... sooooo
What the heck does the 'DSC' button do next to the shifter, and as long as we're talking about that 'dynamic mode' and the ASL button below it near the parking break switch? :P
I bought it from a mercedes dealer who was willing to let it go for less than it probably should have but needless to say he was pretty damn clueless.
... what do the 3 buttons on the rear view mirror do? lol.
OH! and is there anyway to reset the blue tooth pin? previous owner left his coded on it

Welcome to the forum Dan,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
DSC = Dynamic Stability Control. ON by default whenever the vehicle is started but the button switches it off.
ASL = Automatic Speed Limiter. Allows you to set a maximum speed which then cannot be exceeded.
Follow this link XF and XFR ( X250 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X250 forum for help, advice and information.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Pressing the DSC button for about 1 second puts it in TRAC DSC mode, which allows a bit more slip and spin than the default mode.
Press and hold the DSC button for about 12 seconds to turn DSC completely off = plenty of wheelspin and tail wagging if you are so inclined.
