Default New Owner in Cali!! 16' F type R!

Hi All,

Greetings from California. I joined the forum a little while back, to do some research and get info while waiting to possibly by an F type at some point.

After much debate and back and forth on what to buy, my fiance and I pulled the trigger and purchased 2016 F type R , White, with 29k miles from our local Nissan Dealership! We were contemplating a 2018 S for the longest time just because of price but ultimately decided against it and figured we should buy exactly what we wanted.

Although my fiance is the more cautious and safe minded between the two of us, after getting in and test driving the vehicle that all went out the window. The grin from ear to ear was apparent as she throttled the gas onto the freeway. Needless to say there wasn't too much push back from my better half after the test drive.

I look forward to enjoying this vehicle for a very long time and hope to get more knowledge and help from forum members on our journey. But enough talk on to a few quick snaps of the car first coming home. Will have more once we detail and add a few personal touches.

Welcome to the forums ArnettsJag13,

Good to have you with us.

I can see you've already found your way to the F-Type forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. You can also use the US Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/ to find other members in your region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums.

Hello,
Congratulations on your New Jaguar!
Your woman does seem to have pretty good sense where Jaguars are concerned.

Thank you All. We look forward to learning more about this great ride, and post mods and upgrades as they come about. We just got the windows tinted yesterday, and on the way to the appointment picked up a minor rock chip on the windshield. UGH!!!!. Hoping it can be filled in fairly easy.

Thank you for being welcoming. Hoping to meet up with some other owners in the area as well. We love to do spirited rides and meets.

I got one two weeks ago. Shame it didn't actually crack the glass which would just have been a straightforward replacement. Consoled myself with the thought I preferred it hit the glass rather than dented the aluminium bodywork!

Very true GGG. Just a pain that it was the second trip driving the car, and on the way to the tint shop. I was suppose to tint the windshield as well but now will wait until I replace the glass.
