Default New Ownership 2012 Jaguar XJL Portfolio

Hello All,
I purchased this 2012 Jag XJL Portfolio and I have found the car to be far more than I expected. Panted in Polaris White with the Jet Black interior, the car runs great and the interior sitting is incredible. I just sold my 2006 Lincoln Town Car and wen to the Jag. I had wanted one like this for the last 10 years and finally decided that I would treat myself to something I really wanted. I am just not someone who buys much for himself but the time was right and I went for it. This is the standard 5 Liter V8, no supercharged motor and honestly I do not need it. The car goes like snap when one hits the gas pedal.
I also have 2 Toyotas that are for more common running around and my garage queen, 1971 Rover 2000TC Series 2 P6. Got the car 5 years ago in Great Bend, Kansas and currently restoring the car.

Welcome. We used to have Crown Vics as company staff cars and I grew to love those. They weren't much to look at but I could understand why the police loved them. If you had to spend an 8-hour shift in a car, the Panther platform was choice. I researched the Lincoln TC at one point as a daily driver but found it wouldn't fit in my attached garage at home. Sadly for me, the XJ series outgrew my tiny garage too, which is what put me in the X250 after getting hooked on the X308. Like you, I also have a Blighty classic in the form of an 86 Lotus Excel SE. I guess the modern Jaguars have just been too reliable to get that authentic British car experience.

Hello,
Congratulations on your First Jaguar!
I can only imagine the difference from the Town Car.
I'll have to look up the Rover as I'm completely unfamiliar with it.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
