Good morning all. My name is Tony Ryan, a retired Flight Engineer living in Wingham NSW Australia and I believe I have previously been a member some years back. I own a 1989 Jaguar Sovereign which I purchased about 22 years ago when it had been driven 52000 Kilometres. . The vehicle was sold new in Australia in 1989 and I am the second owner. I drove it regularly for about 15 years before garaging it with approx 126000 Kms travelled. About a year ago I brought it out and returned it to full use. It has been a good vehicle and, apart from a few electrical gremlins, it has been very reliable. The only modification I have made is to fit custom drilled alloy wheels and 16" tyres as the original metric sized tyres were difficult and expensive to acquire.
Thanks o1xjr, Your stable is impressive. I was a local Car Club member for a lot of years but not currently. I have a '37 P4 Plymouth sedan, a '64 AP5 Valiant sedan, an early 70's Honda 70, the XJ40, a J32 Maxima and a TDi 4.2 Patrol.
Thank you Elinor. The XJ40 of mine was ready to "dress" as the bridal car for one of my grand-daughters wedding about a year ago. Your stable looks very functional.
Regards Tony
