Hi Guy's, Got this 04 s-type last Nov. I get bonging alarm in 5 sequence, no visual on dash, and small light on passenger airbag stays on. Any ideas to rectify?

Welcome to the forum Eddwynn,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums. Sounds like passenger seat occupant sensor could be signalling to RCM (Restraint Control Module) passenger seat is occupied when it is empty.

Follow this link
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ed-v8-x200-15/ to the S-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link

From one S-type owner to another... Welcome. The S-type forum is populated with a very friendly group and contains a wealth of knowledge.

With a steady lamp illumination and no flashing codes, the use of a diagnostic reader may be required. Either dealer level diagnostics or an iCarsoft i930 unit would be able to pull up your fault codes. That said, You might want to check under the seat and make sure the connector to the airbag sensor has not come undone. If I recall correctly, the connector the for airbag system has yellow wires attached to it.
