Hello all... just a few words from me. I have a 20yr old XJ6 x300 3.2 (20,000 miles) got it last year from a classic car auction via a garage owner who I know... he went and looked it over for me and said he actualy believed the milage was correct. Went back 10yrs of M.O.T. checks and it was doing 500 miles a year. True milage? Who knows but I like it and thats all that matters, it was a retirement toy for myself as my dad had a 2.8 XJ6 when I was at school, used to park it beside the teachers cars and swore I would have one myself one day. I was asked to post a greeting to you so please accept this as a big hello to everyone. For those who don't know where Buckinghamshire is... I am 40 miles north of London. I think I will be online a few times for advice guys.

P.S. thanks for the oil advice so far

Cheers

Welcome to the forum Nigel192,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums. The 'Buchinghamshire' in your Location will mystify a few.

Follow this link XJ XJ6 / XJR6 ( X300 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X300 forum for help, advice and information.
This is the place to post technical questions about your model. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

I know you've already found the UK & Eire Region forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Hello, Nigel,
Nice looking car! Congratulations!
I'd believe only 20,000 miles, I know many elderly who simply Must have a car at their disposal "just in case," even though they only drive on rare occasions.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
