Default New X308 XJR member!

Hey everyone, been lurking in this site for well over a decade. I’m a Jaguar addict and proud to admit it.

Here’s a quick list of the Jaguars I have owned:

1995 XJR 4.0 (6cyl)
1998 XJR 4.0
2002 XJR 4.0
2000 XJR 4.0
2001 XJR 4.1
2007 XK
2001 XJR 4.0

I’ll tell the story about my final XJR another day, but suffice it to say I’m keeping it. I also hope to add an XK to the collection.

Welcome to the forums XJRfatcat,

Good to have you with us.

After ten years lurking, you shouldn't need any model forum links from me.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums.

It's BRG (paint code HGY) introduced in 2014 for the end of production XK and for the F-Type. One of the many shades of British Racing Green from Jaguar over the years. This one has a high metallic content and appearance varies from deep green to looking almost black in strong sunlight.

Here it is in northern Spain still looking remarkably clean after an overnight 1200 mile drive from home in the North of England.

Hey Graham- it’s quite pretty. I had thought that the subsequent metallic greens post 2007-2008 on the XK (flat BRG) were dubbed some color other than BRG and in my mind I labeled it (likely erroneously) Jaguar Racing Green because it was not “flat”.

very beautiful. I’ll keep an eye out for one stateside so I can see the color in person.

Also, I’ve been waiting for my new thread in X308 to be approved for a couple of days now. Is there a way I can pay to upgrade my membership to post freely? I’m not trying to sell anyone anything here… in fact perhaps the opposite now that my desire for a BRG XK has been restoked! 😂

No need to pay.

It's a holiday weekend in England and I haven't been on the forums as much as usual. I've just seen and approved your post.
