Red face Newbie - 2009 XK Convertible - Seat help!

Hello,

New, new, new here... trying to figure out why both my electric front passenger and drivers seat back will not move forward. They just want to flop back! First the passengers side and today the drivers side. All other controls work on the seat itself.

It's makes it really tough to drive , when you are only 5'2. I'm trying to see if any of you know of a trouble shoot I can do. Something unplugged? Fuse? Not really too mechanically minded , but I can figure to how to do many things. Thank you for any help / suggestions you can offer.

Welcome to the forum!

Start with something simple. Try to reset the seat modules by pulling their fuses and reinserting them. These would be F30 and F32 in the fusebox behind the cover by your left leg under the dashboard.

Please let us know if it works.

Also, in the future, your technical questions will get the exposure to the most people who can help in the XK/XKR (2006 and later) section.

Okay WhiteXKR... I looked by my left leg...( Drivers side i couldn't find a fuse box there... My manual shows... Passenger compartment fuse box... Your fuse numbers were correct - f28, f29, and f30 and f32
Going back to the driveway... will report back. Fingers crossed and hopeful!

Well White XKR.. YOU WERE RIGHT.. Fuse boxes are on the drivers side ..left leg side... but no numbers of fuses corresponded to the ons you gave or in the Handbook. Back to the drawing board.

I think you are looking at the numbers on the top of colored fuses. Those are the fuse ratings, not the fuse numbers.

The fuse numbers are embossed on the black plastic rails beside the fuses. It is rather awkward, but you need to get your head close in with a flashlight to see them. There is also a map of them in the manual (figure 3, page 259 in my manual, but not sure mine is the same as yours).

Oh, and I left two out...add F9 and F18 to the list.
