Default Nubie from SC

A friend of mine bought a '07 Frost Blue convertible a year or so ago. A beautiful car. I told her when she was ready to part ways with it, I wanted first shot. She's going on vacation for a week and it is sitting in my driveway. I'll be driving it while she is gone. Only 35,000 miles on it. 2 owners, I know both. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. No experience with a Jag. I've been looking at this forum for a while and already learned a ton, with tons more to learn. Had been looking at a Vette for a long time, but they are everywhere and I wanted something a little different. Tell me I'm making the right choice....

Welcome to the forums Blues1,

Does she understand that's what you had in mind by first shot?

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk-xkr-x150-33/ to the XK/XKR forum for help, advice and information.

I've had two XK's. They have their problems but a well sorted one is a pleasure to own and drive.

Graham

Hello,
How generous of your friend to lend you her Jaguar while she's away! I can think of no better way to get acquainted with the brand than that.
But you know what that means, don't you, that now you've been Bitten by the Cat. LOL
This is not necessarily a bad thing! It only means you're "doomed" like the rest of us, to be owned by your personal Jaguar sooner than later.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Yes! At this moment.... life is good! This car is taking the place of my motorcycle. Had a bad accident 1 1/2 yrs ago. Had a bucket list of places to go on the bike. I have the same bucket list, but I'll do it in the convertible now. The way I look at it, the trunk may be small, but much larger than the bike. If it rains, top goes up, no more rain suits. If it gets too hot or too cold, again, the top goes up. Yeah.....I think I'm gonna like this
