Oops, forgot to introduce myself properly
Bonjour,
Je m'appelle Neil Goodall...........nah! only kidding. I'm English but retired to France 10 years ago when I got fed up of England and the road it seems to be going down. I've been a fan of old cars for years and currently own a 1975 MGB GT (35 years), 1966 Sunbeam Alpine (15 years), 1970 Austin 1100 (3 years), 1983 Ford Transit camper, 1983 Honda GL700 Wing Interstate and I'm currently restoring a 1972 Morriss 1100. But my most recent acquisition is a 1966 Jaguar MK10 which I've been swearing at for 2 months - it just won't run quite right but there's more about that in another post.
I've liked MK10's & 420G's ever since Mr. Gibson, our newsagent, had one crammed into his garage but only recently could have one. Despite all the issues I still grin whenever I go into the garage and see it..........but it better start behaving soon....or else.
So if anyone reading this is a MK10 expert please introduce yourself.
Regards,
Neil....an Englishman abroard.

Welcome.
No wonder the Jaguar bepissed. All those others before it, it will calm in time.
My 3.8 runs on demand, stops on demand.
Failed to proceed ONCE and I walked home. Went back a week later, started and drove home, never failed to proceed since. No idea, just left HER Bloody Majesty, keys and all, and let her stew it over on her own.
I'll have a peek at the MK10 section.

Grant, there are places in this country, if you did that, in 10 minutes you would only have a frame sitting on four cement blocks.
Driving into San Jose once in California, I saw a car sitting like that on the side of the road. No wheels, no doors, no hood, no trunk, and no seats. I immediately turned around and got out of there. Wrong neighborhood!

Bienvenue Neil,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I can see you've already found your way to the Mark V - X 420G forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Put them together in Windows Paint, Photoshop etc and scale them to keep within the permitted size limits. The maximum size of your custom image is 500 by 100 pixels or 9.8 KB (whichever is smaller).
