Overdue Introduction
Hello World! I registered on the site a few months ago but failed to introduce myself. My Bad. I'll try to make amends now.
On new year's eve last year I purchased a slightly used 2002 Jaguar XK8 Convertible (47K miles). Very nice looking car. It has a few blemishes inside and out but overall it seems like what I was shopping for. I'm located on the Gulf coast of Florida where convertibles are de rigueur. Especially roadsters from a bygone era.
I came to the site originally to find some help with a few of the mechanical problems with the car. I tried a few other Jag Enthusiast sites but this one is by far the best. I've actually gotten some real help in diagnosing and repairing the initial problems with the car. It still needs some work but it's getting closer to fine every day. I expect to be able to use it for touring this summer. Here's hoping anyway.
Great site and a very gracious community. Much better than any of the other Jag sites I've tried. Cheers!

Welcome to the forums Tropic Cat,
Good to have you with us and to hear you are finding the forum friendly and useful.
I know you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Lower Atlantic Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/u...r-atlantic-66/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
