Default Planing to buy a Jaguar - help decide what model

Hello from Norway!

New member to this forum, I have no Jaguar at the moment. BUT am planing to buy one soon.

it started of with a offer to buy a Daimler Double six, but after having a look at it, it had severe rust around the front and back windshield. So I did not buy it.

But, the thought of owning a classic Jaguar have not disappeared.
also the thought of owning a V12!

at the moment I am a bit divided between a XJ/double six.. oooor a XJSC… there are some double six for sale around, but I also have been chatting with a guy that have a XJSC targa for sale.

so… what do you experienced Jaguar owners think?

please help me out a bit!

the XJSC is a nice example, with low mileage. Hardtop and soft. Even “backseats” . Green with creme leather.

Welcome to the Forums.

Much info at the top of the XJS Tech Section.

MY opinion:
A V12, Double Six, is an awesome beast, IF, and I mean IF, YOU are the caretaker.
NO idea in Norway, but Downunder, the mechanics are reluctant to even have one in the shop most of the time.

Good luck.

I think maybe a little that the XJSC is rarer than an XJ/Double Six. Therefor perhaps a bit more exciting to own?

I am lucky, there is a English car expert in the city I live. But I also have a workshop to to the basic maintance.
