Default Potentially a new Jaguar owner

Hello everyone!

Due to a recent death in the family I may soon be the new owner of a Jag (Paperwork and all that fun stuff are still being dealt with). From what I know it's a 1968 Jaguar E-Type S1.5 FHC. Currently located in Arizona, USA. I'm looking forward to learning all I can about this car and hoping to get it up and running again.

I was curious if anyone had any recommendations for finding the history of this vehicle? I've looked on the XKE data website and this car has never been listed. Could the DMV provide me with any additional information? I'm just trying to get a better idea of where and what this car has been through - mainly so that I can pass on the information to any future owners that there may be.

Thanks!

welcome to the forum - don't know that DMV would release any info, if there is no documentation available, you may want to start with Jaguar Heritage to at least get a starting point

Hello,
I'm sorry to read of the death in your family. An E-type as inheritance, now that is Quite a legacy.

Thank you everyone,

Once everything becomes official, I’ll make more posts and get some good pictures of the car. And Sklimii, yes! I forgot to mention Jaguar Heritage but I’ll be getting whatever information I can from there as well. Thank you.
