Default Problem with adaptive cruise control

Hello to all,

I have a 2005 XJR with adaptive cruise control. The system works as designed but I don't really like it as it's constantly applying the brakes. I wanted to see if it was possible to modify the system so it works like a standard cruise control (as in disengage the radar in the front of the car.) Any thoughts?

Welcome to the forums.
I think this may be the best place to ask. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-x350-x358-28/
I think in my owners manual it says you can disable it for the trip. Next time it comes up normal again.
I haven't used it except to just verify it works.
Enjoy the drive.
